Climate Emergency

The pandemic revealed that the future does not have to be one in which cities are filled with pollution. And with global youth coalitions - from Fridays for Future to Extinction Rebellion youth groups - empowered by inspiring figures such Greta Thunberg, students are taking decisive action in spite of school and lockdown restrictions. The message is becoming clear: there is no Plan B, and changing individual actions is not enough. Real climate justice will mean halting and dismantling the capitalist system that has allowed global corporations to produce dangerous levels of emissions at the expense of non-Western countries. But how can we work together to keep these demands on the agenda in and outside the education system?
